My thanks to The Honorary Secretary of the Royal Historical Society for kind and generous permission to print extracts from Frederic A Youngs' "Guides to the Local Administrative Units of England", Vol I, Southern England and Vol II, Northern England. These publications helped immeasurably in compiling details of the status, hundreds and poor law unions for all the parishes.
